We’re Moving!

Is it even a New Year if there isn’t a significant announcement to share?

Every commercial lease comes with a limited timeframe, and we’re approaching the end of our time here at Ifould Street. The past four years have seen many a photoshoot, workshop and event bump in and out of the doors, but I’m very excited to announce that I’ve found a new home for Studio Safari, following a stressful search for a building with all the features you love about our current space, and some new ones you’ve been asking for!

While it already has some gorgeous features thanks to the previous tenant (more on that later), I’m about to begin an eight week renovation to get the space set up and ready to hire.

Here’s what I can share so far:

  • The new studio is in Norwood, approx 2.5km or less than 10 min drive from where we are now.

  • It’s bigger - 320sqm compared to our current 180sqm, with higher clearance.

  • The natural light is amazing, and a blackout option will be available.

  • There are private car parks! 3 at the front and 2 at the back, with roller door access.

  • It has air-conditioning and heating throughout.

  • There will be a large working kitchen for food photography.

  • All of the existing furniture, backdrops and props will be moved to the new location.

I will be posting plenty of updates on Instagram for those who follow us there, but in the meantime, here’s a peek inside:

Project Timeline

  • 2 February: Renovations begins at Norwood

  • 9-13 March: New kitchen is installed at Norwood

  • 22 March: Last available hire date at City (Ifould Street) location

  • 1 April: Norwood location available for bookings

Bookings are still available at our city location until 22 March. There will be no bookings available between 22 March - 1 April as we move all equipment across and remove our fit-out from the original studio.

Thank you for all the support over the past four years - we’re looking forward to this major upgrade and opening the doors for you!
